Shawn Mendes reemerged in a big way over the weekend!
So you’ve had the entire weekend to absorb the fact that Shawn Mendes is coming back with new music. How does that make you feel? Please describe in 30 words or less, unlimited emojis.
Shawn decided to drop two songs at once, ‘In My Blood’ and ‘Lost In Japan,’ but he hasn’t been shy about admitting that the former is the song that’s closest to his heart. The song is about Shawn's own struggles with anxiety, and he knows it might make fans worry. But fret not, as he went on to say in an interview, "I know, that's why every time I play that song for someone, I go, 'just so you know, I'm okay. Don't worry about me, I promise, I'm okay.’" Watch him describe his efforts to tell the entire story within a 3 minute song.
We also owe Shawn congratulations – he picked up 2 awards at this year’s Junos, held over the weekend in Vancouver. Canada supported their own, awarding him Single of The Year and the Fan Choice Award for ‘There’s Nothing Holding Me Back’. Seems like Shawn Mendes fans have a lot to look forward to in the very near future!
