The Staff Accountant reports to several managers depending upon the task assigned and is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and assisting the managers with day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities include

• Prepare and record monthly close related journal entries (ie; revenue, prepaids, accruals, etc)
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Enter accounting related information into business logs
• Assist with credit application due diligence checks
• Organize and update financial records
• Monitor and reconcile cash balances, bank statements
• Apply cash receipts to open accounts receivable
• Prepare ad hoc reports for Executive Management
• Prepare documentation for external auditors

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in top-tier public accounting firms and/or public company environment (a plus, but not required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or degree candidate preferred
• Basic knowledge and experience with financial reporting, SEC Reporting and US GAAP
• Basic Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs)
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
• Established capacity to work well independently and as part of a team
• Outstanding ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Proven aptitude to meet tight deadlines and effectively adapt to changing priorities
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (MS Excel)
