A couple days ago I was chilling and being lazy when my homie, Gang, hit me up with a message.
“Yo DuDE!~ Have you seen the metal duo on Sing!?”
Like any person would, after receiving such a well written piece, I wrote back:
“What?” with a well-placed gif of Ryan Reynalds looking confused.
Little did I know that would start the chain reaction that would be my friend explaining what Sing! China is for 35 minutes. Apparently, Sing! China is a rebranded version of the popular singing show “The Voice” that follows the exact beats from the 4 celebrity coaches down to the spinning chairs. It is, from what I was told, a very popular show. On the most recent episode they had probably the most interesting duo hit the stage. Introducing Huang Anqi and Liu Anqi, a metal duo that go by the name Double Angel, that absolutely killed it on Sing! China!!! Their performance was full of solid vocal work, hooks, and death growls. I actually had to go back and listen to it a few times. Unsurprisingly they got a 4 chair turn (which is a good thing if you do not watch The Voice) securing their place in the completion.
I hope Double Angel gets far in the competition, because they have a new won over fan here in the US that wants them to win!
See for yourself!
Marshmello Is An American Ninja Warrior!
2018 has been a pretty epic year for Marshmello – not only has he scored hits with Anne-Marie, Logic & Bastille, he’s also teamed up with notorious gamer Ninja to win the Fortnite Pro-Am and launched a series of cooking videos on YouTube. Plus he just CRUSHED the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course.
Check out the video above to see the superstar DJ & producer cruise through the course like it’s nothing, stopping to do little celebratory dances after completing the trickiest portions.
Marshmello’s identity has never been fully confirmed, although he’s widely believed to be the alter-ego of another DJ, Chris Comstock or Dotcom. Forbes published their definitive unmasking last year. But that hasn’t stopped Marshmello from continuing to have fun with his secret identity. He posted a photo of Will Ferrell taking off the signature helmet to his Instagram over the summer, and allowed Shawn Mendes to borrow the setup for a gag at the MMVAs.
So the question is, with his packed schedule and seemingly unending array of talents, how do we know that’s REALLY him under the mask running the ANW course? What do you think?
Travis Scott
Travis Scott's parents kicked him out and cut him off when he dropped out of college to pursue music, but now that he's got some #1 albums and dozens of hit tracks, it seems like he made the right choice! These are Travis's best songs, music from his peers and influences, and his many, many collaborations, both vocally and as a producer.
Yes OSU's marching band nailed a Queen-themed halftime show but they deserve your respect for an entirely different reason.
These are a few reasonable questions that may cross your mind while watching Ohio State's Sept. 1st, Queen-themed halftime show against Oregon State.
Watch as they seamlessly go from "We Will Rock You" to "Fat Bottomed Girls" to "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" to "Bicycle Race" and cap it off with "Bohemian Rhapsody", all while forming the shape of Freddie Mercury...MY GOD THEY EVEN PERFECT THE QUEEN FONT.
*but have you considered the fact that polyester band uniforms are never comfortable, instruments are cumbersome...and chaffing is real??*
Wow OSU. Well done. Go grab some Gold Bond and celebrate yourselves. We can't wait to see what's next.
Brain May thought it was pretty sweet too.

They Wanna Be That Song
Recently Brett Eldredge and Meghan Trainor were the ones to sing each others’ songs (and on of Kenny and Dolly’s) on CMT Crossroads, and it was really good! Now, you might think that since they’re both superstar entertainers, all they had to do was show up and sing and everything worked out, but no. There was actually a lot of rehearsal time put into making that show great, and even a little tweaking of harmonies the day before.
Also the outfit Meghan planned to wear for the show didn’t show up. She didn’t panic, and in fact called on the spirit of Oprah to remind herself that there was nothing she could do to change it, so she was just going to roll with flow.
Do take note of her slippers, too. You think these artists wear their heels all the time? Oh, girl. No. That would hurt.
